Abbey Animal Hospital- Virginia Beach, VA Jenn LVT

Jenn, LVT:

Hello, my name is Jenn, and I have been with the Abbey Family since 2013. I started working in the Veterinary field June of 1999 as a Kennel Attendant, and was promoted to an Assistant in November of that same year.  I have stayed in the field ever since.  I eventually obtained my RVT license in North Carolina and then my LVT license for Virginia.  I am thankful and blessed to work in the veterinary world, it is my passion.  I have a Labrador mix who was born in 2004 in the Hospital I worked at in NC.  She was the only one of 14 pups to survive, and has been my sidekick and rock through my husbands multiple deployments. I also have a Himalayan who acts more like a puppy than a cat.  She is such a joy in our life.  I am originally from Virginia Beach and now live back here with my Husband of 13 years, (whom I share a birthday with), and Daughter, who are both my heart.  We welcome you to Abbey and look forward to seeing you!!

Kathy Knopp, LVT

Kathy has been with Abbey Animal Hospital since Inception. She married Dr. Knopp in 1983. They have 3 grown children: Alli (who also works at Abbey Animal Hospital), Chris (a veterinarian in Georgia), and Mark who is attending VCU in the fall.  She also has 2 beautiful granddaughters who are the light of her life! She shares a house with a slew of animals including 3 cats, 3 dogs, 2 beardies, 1 snake, 1 rabbit, 1 chinchilla, 1 ferret and 1 bratty bird, a beautiful Moluccan cockatoo who is an escape artist. She loves being part of AAH and plans on being here as long as she is able.
Kathy graduated from University of Maryland with a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science. She always wanted to be a Veterinarian so being here at Abbey Animal Hospital is the next best thing.
Kathy also attented NVCC to obtain her Veterinary Technicians degree.
